A DAY OF MYSTERY — 10 AUTHORS, ONE STORE at Page 2 Books this Saturday at their Burien store – come join us!
Here’s their writeup:
Whodunnit? Ten local authors did — write mysteries with themes, settings and sleuths as varied as a professor of electrical engineering, a yoga instructor, a basketball coach and a tango dancer. And they’ll all be here Saturday April 11 to meet you and sign books.
Schedule:
10-11:30 a.m. – Lonnie McGee, author of “The Amber Crow,” a new mystery series set in the North-west (two more in the series are due out soon).
11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. – Lisa Fernow and Bernadette Pajer. Lisa Fernow is the author of “Dead on Her Feet,” set in the tango-dancing community. Bernadette Pajer is the author of the Professor Bradshaw mystery series, whose hero is an electrical engineering professor at the University of Washington. “The Edison Effect” is the fourth in the series. (Lisa: I can speak highly of Pajer’s first book – charming protagonist and you get to read about Seattle back in the days when electricity was new.)
1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. – Curt Colbert & Waverly Fitzgerald and Tracy Weber. Curt Colbert and Waverly Fitzgerald, writing as Waverly Curtis, are the authors of the Pepe series, starring an investigative Chihua-hua. Their fifth book is “The Chihuahua Always Sniffs Twice.” Tracy Weber writes the Downward Dog series featuring a yoga instructor and her faithful canine sidekick; the latest is “A Killer Retreat.”
2:30 p.m.- 4 p.m. – Marianne Harden and Wendy Delaney. Marianne Harden is author of “Malicious Mischief,” featuring Rylie Keyes investigating a murder in the retirement home where she works. Wendy Delaney has written two books in the Working Stiffs series; the latest is “Sex, Lies & Snickerdoodles.”
4 p.m.-5:30 p.m. – Tom Hopp and Tom Kelly. Tom Hopp is the author of a medical thriller, set in Neah Bay. Tom Kelly is a nationally known real-estate writer who is the author of two mysteries in the Ernie Creekmore series; the latest is “Hovering Above a Homicide.”
