This photo is of Carlos Gavito and Christy Cote taken at the Verdi Club milonga in 1996. I hope you can tell from the picture how Christy must be feeling! Gavito, sadly, died in 2005. If you’d like to read more about him, I found a beautiful description of his life and the impact he made on the global tango community. He was a real class act.
